Meet our cool new partner — Thermo King

Xos continues to grow based on the strong partnerships we’ve built over the years. Partnerships help us get more electric trucks out on the road, which means less diesel-fueled trucks — our ultimate goal. With that said, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Thermo King, a leading manufacturer of temperature control systems for trucks and trailers, to jointly develop a refrigerated commercial vehicle prototype that is 100% battery-electric.

As part of this partnership, we will be using Thermo King’s refrigeration units in our mobile charging station, the Xos Hub™, while Thermo King will deploy our Lyra Series™ battery systems on its all-electric trailer refrigeration unit trucks and trailers.

Thermo King proved to be the perfect fit for Xos based on their commitment to sustainability. They have pledged to reduce one billion metric tons of carbon emissions from their customers’ footprint by 2030 and continue to find ways to reduce their impact on the environment.
